PIP2 or equivalent - up to £30,626
Where existing Civil Servants apply on transfer to the NCA at the equivalent grade, pay principles on Civil Service transfers will apply. All other salary offers will be made within the advertised band.
Summary
The NCA leads the UKs fight to cut serious and organised crime including, people smuggling and human trafficking. Project INVIGOR is the NCA-led UK law enforcement Taskforce response to organised immigration crime (OIC). Opportunities now exist to join the Project INVIGOR Dedicated Investigation Team focussed on OIC, with the aims of pursuing and prosecuting those crime groups which present the most significant risk.
The Investigator role will include the handling of intelligence and the development of operational plans to tackle OIC, working with partner agencies, managing risk and gathering evidence to prosecute the individuals and gangs involved.
Candidates will be required to complete the NCA application form, providing a CV and a 750 word narrative providing examples of their experience of investigating serious and complex crime. Successful candidates should have PIP1 or equivalent investigative accreditation and recent experience and training in Criminal Procedures and Investigation Act 1996. Other desirable criteria would be PIP2 or equivalent accreditation, proven experience and accreditation in Suspect Interviewing, handling of exhibits and experience of applying for communications data under Regulations of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
