Easton & Otley College are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Lecturere in Maths to join our supportive team in Otley. The Maths Lecturer will be responsible for delivering GCSE Maths as well as functional skills lessons to our learners.  The ideal candidate should have experience of teaching in Further Education and an experience of the Edexcel Maths specification and City and Guilds Functional Skills would be an advantage.
The Lecturer will be responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and moderation of a course within the Maths units to enable the learners to achieve the learning outcomes including a high level of learner retention and achievement. In doing so the post-holder will comply with the college quality standards, the common inspection framework and the Self-Assessment Action Plan.
The job description intends to incorporate within it the professional standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education -England (2014).
Whilst a teaching qualification would be an advantage it is not essential; as long as you have the relevant Maths qualifications we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the Further Education sector within our own college. CPD, mentoring and team support will be in place to support you to undertake and succeed in the role.
