Learning Support Staff Required

Part-time or Full-time hours available up to 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time)

The Curriculum Services Team are passionate about supporting students with Learning Disabilities and/or Difficulties. We are responsible for ensuring that effective and appropriate support provision is allocated to students requiring assistance with accessing their academic studies across City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College.

City College Norwich is a great place to work. As one of the largest colleges in East Anglia we have a large and diverse team of over nine hundred full and part time staff within teaching and support roles and has opportunities for progression within the workplace.

We are looking for staff to work with a variety of students including those taking A levels or BTECs at our Paston site.  Staff at Norwich site will predominately be required to support and supervise students with PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties) and ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). You may also be required to assist with personal care and administration of medication however all relevant training will be provided.

Tier 2, Required to work across all sites
Up to £16,399 per annum.

Applicants must have a Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support or approved relevant equivalent and a Level 3 SEN/LDD qualification 

BSL level 3, Notetaking and/or experience in care would be desirable but not essential.

Tier 3, Required to work across all sites
Up to £14,487 per annum
.

Applicants must have a Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support or approved relevant equivalent. You will become part of an extensive team supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities across the college sites. This role is highly rewarding and offers a fulfilling and dynamic career opportunity.
BSL level 3, Notetaking and/or experience in care would be desirable but not essential.

Tier 4, Required to work across all sites
Up to £14,365 per annum


Applicants must have or be willing to undertake the Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support or equivalent programme within 2 years. Applications welcome from those new to support but looking for a career in supporting students with a learning disability or difficulty.  Notetaking and/or experience in care would be desirable but not essential.  

Candidates who wish to be considered for a Curriculum Services Support Tier 4 Apprentice position should also apply.
