Learning Support Assistant (personal care)

Salary: £15,075 - £15,920 (£17,681 - £18,672 full time equivalent)
Full time, 37 hours per week
Term time plus one week
Fixed term contract for 1 year
Starting as soon as possible

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and committed person to provide one-to-one learning support for a pupil at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy.
 
The successful candidate will be working closely with teaching and other support staff, supporting pupils within the classroom as well as 1-2-1 and in small groups. You will be keen to develop your skills and knowledge, undertaking further training as necessary. You will also be responsible for providing epilepsy support, first aid, and physical/ general care assistance where needed.

The ideal candidate will:

-Show understanding of the needs of young people
-Be flexible and adaptable in your approach
-Promote independence in every area of being a young person
-Possess good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
-Develop positive and supportive relationships with children, staff and parents
-Be able to use their own initiative to support learning needs of children
