Skilled CNC Lathe Operator -
12 month Fixed term contract

An opportunity exists within the Clevedon business unit for a Skilled Machinist.
Full training will be given where required.
Tasks and Requirements:
* Must be capable of fully understanding and working to process and manufacturing instructions and specifications.
* Setting and operating machines within their own area of responsibility
* Provide general support to team leader/manager in maintaining and improving overall effectiveness of the channel
* Assist in identifying areas of improvement and participating in continual improvement activities.
* Provide general daily maintenance of machine, equipment and working environment
* Be responsible for their own health and safety and that of anyone who may be affected by their activity. And to cooperate with their employer with respect to health, safety and environmental matters
* To carry out any other appropriate duties when and if requested
Skills and experience:
* Engineering apprenticeship or relevant experience - Essential
* CNC turning - Essential
* Conversant with Fanuc controls - Desirable
* Capable of fully understanding and working to process and manufacturing instructions and specifications to the required quality standards - Essential
The position will be working double-day shift on a 2-week rotation; 5.50am-2pm, 1.50pm-10pm.
The job is located in SKF (UK) Limited, Clevedon, and you will report to the Group Channel Manager.
