Taking the Laser Cutting Process from concept through to production, developing the process from receipt of order through specification, introduction & optimisation to volume production. Developing supplier sources and nominating/recommending sources for specifics. Nominating long term relationships (equipment/system suppliers). To support the Process Engineering Manager from a technical viewpoint, reviewing and introducing advancement of design and equipment proposed for future projects. To Streamline the Production process and provide guidance where required. Interrogation of CAD and Development of CAD for conversion into Functional Cutting Paths. Key Requirements:- A proven background in 3D Laser cutting principles for hot stamping in mass production A proven background of assembly knowledge combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to plan and manage objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple deliveries Firm knowledge of CAD and Autodesk products along with basic G Code programming Key Responsibilities:- Implementation of best practice by undertsanding through lessons learnt and external plant visits Apply the 5s standard to the working environment during cell implementation Review control, gauge plans and part quality with nominated quality engineers Review and approve the fixture design and process layouts from supplier Use GPCS gateways when supporting new project implementation Monitor internal and supplier timing plans Complete commissioning and mass production trials offsite and in plant Creation and update of tech file including standardised work instruction sheets Always reviewing processes for improvements and cost savings Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner Ensure risk assessment is complete prior to handover of cell/process to manufacturing Support with industrial engineers model cell implementation including TPM instructions, shim logs, layout defined, 5s equipment in place, correct lighting, documents correctly loaded.
