One of the UK's most innovative and exciting companies is growing at an astonishing rate and as an Engineering recruitment partner, we are working closely to support the consequent growth in their Automation and Project Engineering teams. As International Engineering Project Manager you will be the crucial pivot in the engineering team as the customer facing, on-site presence issuing technical support, management and delivery of multi-million £/$/€ projects and interdisciplinary teams.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for project coordination of large scale Brownfield or Greenfield projects factoring in civil, mechanical and automation works and installation. You will be a personable and communicative person able to organise international and local sub/contract labour to bring new highly automated, state-of-the-art distribution centres to successful completion, on time and on budget, and handover.

Sounds fun doesn't it?

Currently there are a growing number of new and exciting projects, with locations including a variety of cities in North America and across Europe. You will be expected to travel and stay for longer periods of time, as total project time-frame will be c. 18 months. This is a primary factor to bear in mind when applying.

Further desirable attributes include -

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of managing multi-million £/€/$ project, ideally with international exposure
  • Direct experience of automation engineering, and an exposure to a range of Engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, structural, etc)
  • Educated to HND/Degree level in an engineering or related field
  • To be able to work remotely and in isolation to some of your closest and reliant colleagues
  • To be a superb communicator, able to discuss technically and use awareness to communicate effectively with contacts whose first language is not English, and to all levels of seniority.
  • An expectation to achieve nothing but the highest standards

In return you will be working on some of the most interesting projects available currently - as well as being rewarded with a host of features, including a very competitive salary, benefits and massive support for travel, accommodation, and family support while staying away.
