Instructor Plant Mechanic

Applications are invited for the above position within the plant department at the CITB Bircham Newton. The successful applicant will be involved in delivering a broad range of courses to meet the training needs of the Industry. Reporting to a Senior Instructor their main responsibilities will include;
Delivery of Training & Assessment to achieve course objectives, both practical and theory.
Compiling and maintaining delegate records.
Ensuring that course material, equipment, training aids and documentation is available to meet the objectives of the course.
Updating and developing course material, including training aids, lessons plans and timetables.
Assessment of delegates.
It is essential that the successful applicant will have relevant experience in construction plant maintenance or a related industry, supported by a recognised engineering apprenticeship and qualifications. Good written and oral communication skills are required. You will also need to have a sound knowledge of current industry practices of plant equipment, to include hydraulic and electrical technology.
Possession of teaching/assessor qualifications would be advantageous but training will be provided if necessary. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve Teaching/Assessor Qualifications at a minimum level 3 certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
