£24,000 - £28,000 per annum

HR Advisor - Coes a well-established Family owned thriving clothing company that have been open since 1928. Here at Coes we offer a wide range of quality clothing, providing high levels of service and customer care. We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor on a full-time basis to be based at our small friendly head office in Ipswich. In return we are offering this HR Advisor a basic salary of £24,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

As an HR Advisor, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all areas of HR across the Group, your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment to include writing job descriptions and person specifications, preparation of job adverts, short-listing, interviewing and selection of candidates.
  • Management of the payroll function for Coes and associated companies.
  • All HR administration including starters and leavers, holidays, staff rotas, absence and reporting.
  • Reviewing and development of documentation for annual reviews and assisting management with process.
  • Advising Management on disciplinary and grievance matters and other employment law issues and ensuring that all policies and procedures are kept up to date and followed.
  • HR and workforce planning on an annual basis.
  • Improvement of employee experience by undertaking surveys and feedback, conducting exit interviews and making recommendations to management.
  • Travel to other shops and businesses on an occasional basis.

Skills and Attributes:

Ideally you will have a generalist background and will be either CIPD qualified or working towards this.  You will have up to date knowledge of best HR practices and employment law.  You will also be excellent at building good working relationships and happy to have an open door policy.

This is a full-time permanent role offering a competitive salary up to £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience). We also offer company benefits including staff car park, discount on goods, company pension and life insurance.
