Hire Co-ordinator Gofer Limited (based in Ipswich) plays a leading role in the event, entertainment, commercial and leisure industry and has done for many years. Providing temporary supply of event equipment including generators, electrical and complete event management regardless of the scale of the event.
We are now looking for a Hire Co-ordinator to join our team based in Ipswich, on a full-time permanent basis.   

As Hire Co-ordinator, working as part of a small business, youll need to be a great team player with a strong technical background and exceptional planning and organisational skills. Youll be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the logistical organisation of hiring, servicing and crew to ensure smooth running of the day to day operations.  If you know your Ceeform from your Powerlock and are an effective planner and administrator, we love to hear from you.

As a Hire Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing quotes, organising the hire of equipment through to raising the required paperwork for the delivery/collection of hires and servicing 

  • Following up customer enquiries and quotations in a timely manner.

  • Organising and scheduling Gofer employees, sub-contractors, crew, transport and sub-rental equipment to meet the requirements of the contract.

  • Building customer relations to retain existing business and maximise sales and form new business.

  • Ensuring regular servicing of the long-term lease equipment

  • Instructing invoicing and taking payments for hires and sales, whilst working closely with Finance Team to ensure prompt payment is received.

  • Providing PA support to the Directors including booking accommodation and travel as required.

  • Compiling statistical reports for business metrics.

  • Maintaining an organised filing system (computer, paper and archive) and accurate database of clients.

  • Attending promotional events on behalf of Gofer as well as meetings with the Managing Director.

    Skills and Attributes:

     

  • Extensive experience as an administrator

  • Sound technical knowledge in the events industry and/or power generation industry

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent customer service in person, on email and the telephone.

  • Great attention to detail.

     

    This is a full-time permanent role offering a salary banding of £19,000 - £23,000 based on skills and experience.  Office hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with flexibility required due to the nature of the industry.
