HEAD OF DEPARTMENT QUALITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

REF: SP428

£30,820 to £31,735 per annum

 

The Sportspark at the University of East Anglia is one of the largest sports complexes in the UK (www.sportspark.co.uk/). 

 

The postholder will manage the Quality Management system and H&S policy to ensure that all legislative standards, as well as consistently high service standards, are maintained at all times. The postholder will also be required to manage the wider centre as a whole when acting as Duty Manager.

 

The role requires a highly organised and dedicated individual who is passionate about customer experience, with a diligent attitude and strong understanding of health and safety compliance in a leisure environment. 

 

You must have a degree (or equivalent qualification or experience) in sport or leisure/sport management and a current IOSH qualification (or equivalent qualification or experience).  A First Aid at Work qualification (or the ability to achieve within 2 months of employment) is also essential.  Your excellent organisational, interpersonal and customer care skills will complement your previous experience of supervising/managing within a sports centre with wet and/or dry side facilities.

 

This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
