HEAD OF DEPARTMENT DRYSIDE MANAGER (INDOOR AND OUTDOOR)

REF: SP418

£27,762 to £28,586 per annum, plus 5% attendance bonus*

 

The postholder will manage the Dryside operation including the Indoor Arenas, Climbing wall, Squash, Athletics Track, outdoor all weather pitches, Tennis/Netball Centre, Soccer Park and SPring Gymnastic Centre, as well as the wider centre as a whole when acting as Duty Manager.  He or she will manage a team of Sports Assistants and Gymnastics staff in delivering the highest standards of customer service and will help in setting, monitoring and achieving budgets for the Dryside operation as required by the Director of Sport and Commercial Services. Working proactively with colleagues, he or she will propose and manage initiatives that will maximise usage and profit for the Sportspark, liaising with the Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator to create the widest impact possible.

 

Dedicated and passionate about sport, you must have a degree (or equivalent qualification or experience) in sport or leisure/sport management and a First Aid at Work qualification. Your excellent organisational, interpersonal and customer care skills will complement your previous experience of supervising/managing within a sports centre with wet and dry side facilities.

 

This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.  This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
