Please note the successful apprentice will start in September 2017 for this role.
All aspects of hairdressing will be taught, the candidate will have to start on a lower level e.g. shampooing, cleaning, greeting customers and keeping the salon running smoothly for the hairdressers.
As Apprentice Hairdresser, as well as taking part in training activities and assisting stylists, you will be required to help to manage reception duties, cleaning of the salon, shampooing and blow drying, conditioning treatments and looking after clients. Will also
ensure that the salon is always kept tidy and in good condition as well as looking after customers, taking phone calls and assisting the hairdressers with their clients.
This is a physically demanding role which will involve long periods on your feet.
Hours of work - 30 hours per week, days and hours to be specified
Qualifications & Skills required - should have an interest in fashion and hair trends and a flair for colour and form. Some customer service experience is desirable.
Training via City College Norwich leading to a City and Guilds level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing (QCF), Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Functional Skills in Maths and English achieved over a 2-year period.
