GENERAL MANAGER – £27,500 to £35,000 - BURY ST EDMUNDS

PERMANENT FULL TIME

HOURS; SHIFT WORK INCLUDING WEEKENDS

Our well-established, reputable client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced leader to head their busy management team as a General Manager on a full time, permanent basis

You will be working as head of the management team and therefore responsible for all aspects of operations within the hotel and ensuring the everyday running of the business is at the high standard it is expected to be.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all operations and staff within the hotel
  • Ensure all events are prepared for and run smoothly
  • Recruitment
  • Training and development of staff
  • Constantly looking for ways to grow and improve the business
  • Providing outstanding levels of customer service to guests and visitors
  • Being hands on and proactive
  • Complaints handling

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • 3 years management experienced preferred
  • The ability to drive improvements and growth without comprising on quality
  • Experience within a catering industry
  • A good track record in P&L management and to demonstrate an ability to convert this information into forward planning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Committed to creating and developing a fantastic team
  • The ability to adapt to any given situation

Hours will involve working different shift patterns which will include evenings & weekends. Flexibility with hours is essential and own transport is required due to the location of this role
