Fundraising Administrator Would you like to be part of helping make Suffolk the best place in the world to talk about and take care of mental well-being? At Suffolk Mind are looking for a Fundraising Administrator to join our team based in Felixstowe, on a 12-month fixed term contract. Will consider full time, part time and job share.

As a Fundraising Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering the fundraising telephone number and being the main point of contact for the fundraising, Friends of Suffolk Mind and campaign email inboxes.
  • Providing administrative support to the income generation team.
  • Book appointments for members of your team to visit with potential community groups, businesses, individuals and fundraisers booking venues / catering for meetings when appropriate and coordinating calendars.
  • Prepare and send out packs and provide information to fundraisers and Friends of Suffolk Mind and Workplace Wellbeing clients to keep them up to date.
  • Keep the calendars up to date and the team aware of key upcoming dates
  • Proactively follow up with current fundraisers to check progress and support needs
  • Provide a seamless thank you service to ensure that all supporters of Suffolk Mind receive the recognition they deserve.
  • Encourage, set tasks and assist volunteers that work in the team as directed by the CFL co-ordinator.
  • Assisting the CFL Legacy Co-ordinator with the planning of fundraising events, activities and challenges.
  • Carrying out research and explore new opportunities for the fundraising dept
  • Writing proposals for corporate clients - Creating basic proposals to workplace wellbeing customers and liaising with the trainers as directed.
  • Effectively maintain all electronic and paper administration including financial and information systems.
  • Produce a monthly report on fundraising activity for Head of Business Operations.
  • To report any concerns or issues arising that will impact on customer experience or safety.
  • An awareness of how to signpost someone in distress is important and awareness training will be compulsory.
  • Covering the main Suffolk Mind emails and telephone number when required.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of office systems to ensure efficient running of all administration requirements Outlook.
  • Experience of answering enquiries including sensitive or emotional enquiries and issues with a professional, empathetic, and kind manner.
  • Use of CRM database - inputting and maintaining information about fundraising / Workplace Wellbeing and individuals preferences for contact into the Suffolk Mind database system.
  • Excellent communication skills; face to face, telephone and written.

This is a full-time role on a 12-month fixed term contract working 9am to 5pm. In return we are offering a competitive salary up to £17,510 to £20,137. We will consider full time, part time and job share options.
