Facilities Administrator- Maritime Transport, one of the most successful transport companies in the UK today and a market leader in logistics are looking for Facilities Administrator to be based from our modern office in Felixstowe.

Maritime Transport is the fastest growing transport and logistics company in the UK today. From a small, five-site organisation when it was acquired into private ownership in 2001, we now have 35+ sites and 200+ acres of mixed freehold and leased properties, comprising of offices, transport and open storage depots, rail terminals and warehouses. We have a workforce of 2,600 in our ranks and you could be one of them.

As a Facilities Administrator you will be required to help manage our expanding property portfolio and be part of our fast-growing property team.   Reporting to the Property/Facilities Supervisor, and be responsible for:

  • Collating scheduled and unscheduled works throughout the country
  • Building and maintaining an electronic, periodic works diary
  • Ensuring contractor insurance and H&S compliance requirements are met
  • Monitoring expenditure on major projects and ensuring trade discounts are received
  • Processing all property-related orders and reconciling invoices
  • Sourcing suppliers or materials to specific briefs
  • Maintaining supplier database

Skills and Attributes:

  • You must have experience of working in an administrative role in an office environment, with an eye for detail.
  • Experience in property/facilities management is an advantage, as is a qualification in business administration, but neither are essential.
  • You will be a keen, versatile, structured and hard-working individual able to work on your own and under pressure.
  • IT literate (especially in Excel) and a confident communicator, you will be keen to develop your role and responsibilities.
