Export Administrator (24-30 hours per week)

£22,000 - £24,000 per annum (Pro Rata)

Job Description

  • Processing and arranging export documentation for customers either directly or for presentation to banks, including: Letters of Credit, Pro-Forma Invoices, Certificates of Origin, EUR, ATR, Certificates of Analysis, Shipping Notes, Dangerous Goods Notes, Marine Insurance etc. all to the specific country of destination
  • Arranging of certification and legalisation of documents
  • Calculation of weights/dimensions for shipping of goods
  • Negotiating rates for transport; by Sea, Road or Airfreight
  • Organising transport requirements
  • Liaising with various internal departments including the production department, laboratory and warehouse
  • Liaising with customers, hauliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines etc
  • Organising pre-shipment inspections
  • Cover for supervising loading and taking photographs
  • Order and delivery processing on Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) 2 Grow With OMEX
  • Organising samples to be sent to customers for trials/registration, including the administration around this task, such as labelling, arranging couriers etc.
  • General office administration duties including filing, answering the telephone, sending postal items etc. The above list is an indication of the range of responsibilities but is not exhaustive. Full training will be given

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV) would be an advantage
  • A scientific background including chemistry would be desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Well organised team player who is able to organise own workload and be able to work under own initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge
