We have an exciting opportunity for two dynamic individuals who are highly motivated and have a strong desire to drive our culture of continuous improvement. Each Executive Assistant will support one of our Directors.


Reporting to one of our two corporate Directors, you will be responsible for assessing priorities and enquiries, making decisions, planning ahead and acting on their behalf to ensure strategic and corporate objectives are turned into action.


You will maintain a strategic overview and understanding of current and developing internal and external influences on the various Directorate services and provide support to the Director by providing detailed written reports, managing communications, leading on projects where relevant and reporting into the Councils Senior Leadership Team and elected Members groups when necessary.


You will provide proactive diary management ensuring others provide relevant briefings and/or papers to the Director in advance of meetings. You must be able to demonstrate high levels of organisation, a track record in leading and managing change and the ability to work at pace under pressure on multiple projects to assist the Director in achieving the Councils priorities and objectives.


Central to this role is driving continuous improvement, proactively monitoring performance of services and providing detailed support and insight to the Director.


This role will include influencing and shaping processes and behaviours that will assist with the culture change and further develop the customer focus of the Directorate. Working with other managers, you will ensure teams directly contribute to the successful achievement of corporate objectives and better outcomes for local people.
