Salary range: £29,145 - £33,507 plus pension contribution

The possibility of school term-time only contract may be available by agreement for the right candidate.

 

Principle purpose of the post: To oversee a high-quality ISA National Training Courses and Conferences Programme

Key responsibilities:

  • To deliver on the principle purpose of the post, providing regular updates and information to the ISA CEO, including developing and reporting on key metrics to monitor course and conference participation, income and expenditure;
  • To help deliver a programme of professional development that includes residential and non-residential courses and events, comprising of training days and conferences including budgeting, booking and speaker arrangements, and quality assurance;
  • To develop and oversee the programmes for conferences, with liaison and support from the CEO;
  • To support and direct the day-to-day work of the PD Assistants;
  • To advise the CEO and ISA HQ staff on the latest trends in professional development;
  • To operate within an agreed annual budget, meeting or exceeding annual targets as established by the CEO;
  • Oversee all training arrangements for the use of ISA House, including booking by outside groups, ISA training courses and other events;
  • To develop sponsorship opportunities with suitable organisations for ISA national conferences and events;
  • To oversee the construction of the 2019/20 course programme, liaising with the post-holder and others;
  • To attend an agreed sample of the PD training programme for quality assurance purposes;
  • To produce PD-related content in ISA publications, including regularly the ISA Journal;
  • To liaise with ISAs exhibitioners and Gold Suppliers on contracts and attendance at events;
  • To undertake any other reasonable task as directed by the CEO.

You will be educated to degree level and have a successful track record with events management and/or association professional development.

As a budget-holder, youll be able to demonstrate a good understanding of financial matters and recognise the requirements of budget accountability. You will oversee the work of two highly-dedicated and talented events assistants.
