Equine Rehoming and Welfare Advisor

Full time, permanent

World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the world through education, campaigning and hands-on care.

We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and resourceful equine professional with an enquiring mind to join our UK Welfare team which is based in Snetterton, Norfolk.  This role requires excellent people skills and an intuitive and common sense approach to information gathering and problem solving.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of equine knowledge and practical experience, hold a relevant equine degree and/or be qualified to BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship (BHSAI).  You will play a key role within our welfare team providing up to date legislative and equine husbandry advice to members of the public and our Rehomers. You will also be responsible for managing our quality rehoming scheme.

Due to the nature of this position you will need to be resilient when dealing with distressing or aggressive conversations.

INTERVIEWS FOR THIS VACANCY are being held at our head office in Norfolk on Friday 5th April 2019.
