Editorial Administrative Assistant Local Recall Project, Norwich

Fixed-term contract 12 months, full time

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in local history to join a team that is building an innovative new digital platform for engaging with Norfolk news stories from throughout the decades.

You will:

* Work with the editorial team
* Provide key administrative support

You have:


* Good communication skills, written and verbal
* Great attention to detail and organisational skills
* A good knowledge of Norfolk

Duties will include:

* Quality checking scanned newspaper articles
* Uploading volunteer contributions to the Local Recall CMS
* Managing communications with stakeholders, partners, members of the public 
* Social media for Local Recall project
* Identifying interesting stories or adverts and informing the Archive Editor
* Updating project administrative records 
* Sourcing and administering editorial information
* Liaising with colleagues across the team
* Handling internal and external enquiries
* Arranging meetings and calendar updates for the project team
* Supporting the editorial team and looking for opportunities to enhance and develop the project
* Attending external PR or informative events to raise awareness of the project and contribute to its continued success

To be successful you must have completed a general education (to A-level or equivalent). Ideally you will have a degree in English Literature, History or Media. You may also have relevant experience in an editorial, marketing, historical and digital environment.
