Customer Support Advisor

Basildon

Salary £18k to £25k depending on experience

Customer Support Advisor Immervox are looking to recruit a Customer Support Advisor to join our team based in Basildon, Essex. We are experts in optimising business critical communications infrastructure, ensuring our clients can communicate effectively and exceed expectations.


Our clients are at the heart of what we do, so as a Customer Support Advisor you will be part of the helpdesk team, to support them and provide assistance to meet their every need and query. You will provide a rich support and fault handling experience, to ensure we retain our clients and provide them with a seamless customer journey.


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide superb 1st Line Support in a B2B environment, answering incoming client calls and ensuring their experience is information rich and their requirements are met
  • Assist clients who report a fault or problem with a product, specialising in DSL, data, Immervox product portfolio and systems
  • Co-operate with and support other team members to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of the Immervox products and services portfolio and act as an ambassador for the company at all times
  • Ensure that consistently high levels of customer care are employed at all times
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and use initiative within these boundaries to solve problems and address issues
  • Process orders in a timely manner and in line with company SLAs
  • Maintain service/case system with up to date information and activity
  • Participate in the department rota (including rotational Out of Hours cover), carrying out duties that may be required in place of absent staff due to sickness or annual leave
  • Assist other departments and colleagues when required

Skills and attributes required:

  • Ability to manage own workload and escalate if assistance is required to meet agreed deadline
  • Experience in the telecoms industry is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent user of technology and common software including Microsoft Office packages
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a client support or customer facing role
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above (additional qualifications such as NVQ will also be considered)
  • Effective problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations and delivering excellent levels of service
  • Knowledge of traditional telephony, broadband/DSL and internet connectivity is desirable

On offer to the ideal candidate is a salary  between £18000 to £25000 dependant on experience. General working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, however as training progresses, Out of Hours support will occasionally become part of the role.
