Corporate Fundraiser-
Ormiston Families is a leading charity for children and families in East of England.  We are seeking an experienced Corporate Fundraiser to join our team in Norfolk on a permanent basis.  Ormiston Families supports children, young people and families to manage the challenges they face and improve their life chances. 

As a Corporate Fundraiser you will be supporting the Income Generation team and assist the Major Donor and Corporate Fundraising Manager to identify, cultivate and create opportunities to engage with corporates, including corporate foundations. You will work as part of a team to secure

significant gifts and mutually beneficial partnerships in support of the strategic objectives of the charity, presenting clear and articulate reports to make recommendations for the future.

The Corporate Fundraiser with report into The Major Donor and Corporate Fundraising Manager and have responsibility for:

  • Account manage and develop valuable network of supporters, patrons, Fundraising Advisory Board (FAB) and senior volunteers, and use these networks to cultivate new prospects. 
  • Provide creative and strategic opportunities and support events across the year to inspire supporters, ultimately resulting in donor retention and recruitment.
  • Identify, cultivate and nurture relationships with corporates, arranging and attending meetings to build strong pipeline of sponsorship prospects
  • Represent Ormiston Families at networking and other events as required;
  • Initiate and confirm agreements with existing and new corporates at different levels, ensuring that proposed benefits and communications are delivered;
  • Ensure appropriate recognition and/or naming opportunities for major donors and corporates are honoured by Ormiston Families;
  • Report on income and expenditure from Corporate funders where it is restricted, and update funders as required, particularly on any changes to activity or spend
  • Maintain good knowledge of corporate giving and sponsorship opportunities in our sector, identifying and capitalising on relevant opportunities wherever possible
  • Keep up-to-date with our work in order to present the best case for support
  • Assist implementation of robust processes, systems and plans to effectively manage your workload and maintain accuracy.
  • Build strong and effective working relationships with staff across Ormiston Families and with key stakeholders and other organisations in order to optimise partnership opportunities

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a similar role within the charity sector
  • Solid knowledge of developing corporate engagement plans as well as best practice in relation to investment from corporate funders
  • An understanding of the children, young people and families sector
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with other departments and colleagues at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent IT skills in MS Word, Excel, Power-point, email and internet Essential
  • Experience of information recording and reporting from databases

This is full time permanent role in return, we are offering a competitive salary up to £22,885 per annum (depending on experience) and a great benefit package.  Due to the nature of this role there will be the requirement to travel around East of England and outside of normal office hours from time to time
