Conference & Banqueting Assistant Manager

Ufford Park Woodbridge are a busy, Quality in Tourism accredited Hotel situated just outside the town of Woodbridge. We attract a wide range of customers, each looking for something different from their visit to us and this creates a great and varied working environment. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join us in our Conference & Banqueting Team.

The qualities:
The ideal candidate will be personable and motivated. You must be able to work as part of a busy team and as an individual, and have high standards of service and cleanliness. Experience is preferred but not essential. This role will require some evening and weekend working. We pride ourselves on our speedy and knowledgeable service, along with the atmosphere created by our team. If you think that you could enjoy being part of this, then please apply.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
To follow established Company Policies and Procedures & maintain company standards in all areas of responsibility with particular emphasis on Customer Services.

Carry out the role of Duty Manager on a rota basis.

Plan the day to Day operations of the C&B Department. To ensure standards and targets are being met.

Thoroughly read and digest the information from the weekly function sheets, in order to deliver the best possible service to the client.

Work with the porters on a regular basis to ensure conference breaks etc. happen on time.

Work closely with the office team and plan ahead for function/conference and wedding business, from table planning to staffing levels. And managers on duty for events.

Ensure Ufford Park and Operations standards are being met.

Check department standards daily to ensure the daily tasks are being carried out.

The position requires a flexible approach to a variety of shift patterns and includes breakfast shifts, late evening and weekend shifts.
