Location:  Suffolk

Salary:  Full time £30K pa + pension and healthcare (part time/job share considered)

Compliance & Grants Manager The New Anglia Growth Hub are looking for a Compliance & Grants Manager on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2021, (subject to continued funding by the ERDF Funds). The position is based within Ipswich, but some travel will be required across Suffolk and Norfolk. 

We are looking for a Compliance & Grants Manager with an excellent eye for detail and with experience in financial processes to manage our grant applications for businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk.

This new role will manage a small team, ensuring thorough and evidenced assessments and monitoring of grants made to projects which benefit the local business community and responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing businesses and their grant applications for funded support against a given set of criteria
  • Ensuring that grant applications comply with scheme and project rules and requirements
  • Leading on the due diligence of grant applications
  • Providing guidance on the completion of grant applications which highlight specific areas of concern
  • Providing relevant reports on due diligence of grant applications
  • Line management of office support team including delivering annual appraisals, agreeing measurable performance targets, ensuring financial and other targets are met and motivating staff to meet goals
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with strategic grant partners and key organisations

Ideal candidate skills and experience:

  • Understanding financial reports for business
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, with minimum intermediate experience of Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of two years experience in managing a team including appraisals and development
  • Working to performance targets and compiling evidence to support outputs
  • Collating, communicating and presenting information to a wide range of audiences with confidence
  • Strong people and management skills, including the ability to motivate colleagues to achieve high standards and meet targets

This is a full time position for a fixed term until 31st August 2021 subject to continued funding, but part time/job share will be considered for the right candidate.  We are offering a full time salary of £30,000 pa depending on experience, along with a pension and healthcare package.  If you have the relevant skills and experience, please apply by forwarding an up to date CV as soon as possible.
