A chance to help change the world for people with eating disorders

Community Fundraising Officer -  £22,502 (Band B)
37.5 hrs per week (Monday-Friday with occasional evening or weekend work)
Location: Norwich

Beat is looking for an energetic and creative Community Fundraising Officer to join our growing and highly ambitious fundraising team.

The post-holder will work in partnership with another Community Fundraising Officer to develop a varied portfolio of community fundraising activities for volunteer fundraisers. You will be responsible for growing the number of volunteer fundraisers as well as supporting them to raise as much money as possible for Beat. You will also project manage specific fundraising activities (such as Skydives, the Great North Run or Beats Pamper Nights) and will have the opportunity to develop new activities too.

Now is an exciting time for community fundraising at Beat as we are committed to increasing our income from £562k to £800k per annum by 2021 to enable the continued expansion of Beats work in the fight against eating disorders. Therefore, there is great potential for this post-holder to implement new ideas, instigate change and be part of a significant step change in income.

Beat exists to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.

We do this by working directly with sufferers and their families, and by using that experience to highlight the challenges they face and to campaign for change. We work both nationally and locally and focus on three priority areas: early intervention, family empowerment, prevention and cure.

Our vision is a society where fewer people suffer eating disorders, where people with eating disorders experience care and understanding, and where they can quickly access treatment that supports a rapid and sustained recovery.

The role is based in our Norwich office, with regular UK travel to other Beat offices and to support participants at events such as the London Marathon and the Great North Run.
