Club Manager

The Club Manager reports to the Chairman of the Club Committee and the role comprises three main areas of responsibility:

-To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Club so that all Club members and guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience.
-To develop and execute a marketing and funding strategy aimed at increasing the Clubs membership and surplus generation in order to maintain the club facilities at the appropriate level and to help finance the strategic development plan.
-In coordination with the Club Committee to develop and execute the strategic development plan to cement the Clubs position as the pre-eminent racquet sports venue in the region.

The Club Manager is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Club working closely with the Treasurer to ensure the financial health of the Club.

The Club Manager will ensure sound administration procedures are followed in line with Club practice and will ensure that reporting procedures are followed at all times.

Duties include:

Staff- Supervise the Club team including Club House Manager and Head Coaches, ensuring the highest standard of service is provided to all Club members and their guests.
Lead the recruitment of all Club staff.
Inspire and work with the tennis and squash teams to deliver standards ensuring member satisfaction maximising retention. Documented performance management targets and kpis to be reported at Committee Meetings Chair regular staff management meetings to ensure strong communications with your team, motivating them to deliver excellent service to all members. Formal reports to be circulated.
Maintain staff personnel files and document 6 monthly performance review meetings for discussion with the Chairman.

Marketing- Development of documented membership and marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the relevant national governing bodies, identifying areas of opportunity for increasing membership and delivering an action plan. Key targets include:
Schools
Local business cross marketing/member rewards programme
Hotels pay & play
Corporate membership opportunities

NGBs- Hold regular meetings with both the Lawn Tennis Association and England Squash area representatives to understand how we can continue to develop our offer to align with their current strategy. Investigate financial support and grants that are available to support targeted coaching and facility refurbishment/maintenance.
Capital & Sports Initiative Funding Strategy continue to develop third party funding opportunities for reporting to the Committee on regular basis to include:
NGBs
Inspired Facilities
NCC Sport & Leisure
LEA school sports initiatives

Health & Safety- Ensure the Clubs Health & Safety policy is fully implemented and that all key staff are trained in first -aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
