Our client is currently seeking a Business Manager to ensure the accurate and timely coordination and completion of the administration functions within their Nursing Home in cooperation with the Home Manager. The Nursing Home is located in Downham Market, Norfolk.

The role of Business Manager will be to ensure the smooth business function of our clients nursing home.

The position is offering 40 hours per week, 9am-5pm shift pattern Mon-Fri, pay rate up to £11.00 per hour (subject to experience)

This is a position that is central to the lives of the residents that the nursing home supports and their families, so good people skills are essential alongside strong administration skills. Previous experience within an administrative environment is essential. You will also need to be methodical and proactive, with excellent organisation, communication and time management skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

To support the Manager in administrative tasks as required

To assist with the homes business plan

To maintain and update rota horizon

Assist with the recruitment and selection process

Ensure that matters relating to finance are completed on time

Monitor cost management and attend monthly business reviews

Monitor average fee report and liaise with Revenue Department

Management of debt collection and complete weekly updates

Responsible for capex, purchase orders and food budget monitoring

Responsible for organising the quality improvement plan for the home

Lead with marketing initiatives, complete action plan, review and update weekly

Responsible for ensuring a programme of events and activities is available for the needs of the client group

Ensure all the required documents are sent to Canthus

Welcoming of all visitors to the home

Provide training, support and mentoring to Home Administrators.

To be successful for this position you will need:

Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

At least 3 years experience within a similar role

Clear and friendly telephone manner

Ability to manage time and projects and to achieve set goals and targets

Confident, presentable and professional attitude

Ability to learn and understand new technologies

Good attention to detail

NVQ level 3 in Business Administration
