Business Growth Advisers Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is looking for three knowledgeable and driven Business Growth Advisers to join our successful and well-established New Anglia Growth Hub team. 

As a New Anglia Growth Hub Business Growth Advisers, you will be responsible for the smooth and consistent delivery of quality business support to local business in Norfolk and Suffolk.   There are 3 full-time Business Growth Adviser positions, two of our current vacant positions cover the Norfolk area and one covers the Suffolk area.

 1 x Full time position based in based in Norwich and covering all of Norfolk for a fixed term ending on the 31st August 2021 and with an extension subject to continued funding. This role is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

 1 x Full time position based in Norwich and covering all of Norfolk for a fixed term ending on the 31st March 2020 and with an extension subject to continued funding. This role is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

 1 x Full time position based in Ipswich and covering all of Suffolk for a fixed term ending on the 31st March 2020 and with an extension subject to continued funding. This role is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)

You will be assessing the growth potential and needs of new and established businesses, spotting barriers to success and agreeing a plan of action to overcome them. By raising awareness of the support on offer and identifying ways to support business growth, you will be helping local businesses to achieve their potential. In addition to this you will provide business support and signpost to information regarding the impact of the UK exiting the EU.

The ideal candidates will have a wide range of business knowledge and understanding of business plans, with the ability to diagnose issues, solutions and opportunities. With extensive experience in business management and/or managing an SME business, you will be adept in achieving tasks against set deadlines and be able to communicate information to a wide business audience.

With the knowledge of how to work with business to build relationships that support economic development, you will understand the barriers to business growth and the ways around them and have good knowledge of key national and local organisations that support economic, business and employment development.

You will be able to work with minimum supervision and with a high degree of self-motivation, as well as being able to work toward shared objectives. With good negotiating and influencing skills, you will be confident in communicating via telephone, in person and by written correspondence.

This role involves travel across Norfolk and Suffolk so the candidate must have a full driving licence and transport for business use.  On offer is a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 per annum + expenses, company pension, and healthcare package. Flexible working opportunities available including home working
