Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is a high performing Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service which is delivered as part of a well-established partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT), Mind and Relate. Our IAPT service provides community orientated, evidence-based psychological therapies for people from the age of 16 with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood with a range of presentations.

We offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions across Norfolk & Waveney to over 18,000 people every year.  At Step 2 this includes high volume evidence-based practice in the form of one-to-one guided self- help, predominantly delivered by telephone, psychoeducational groups and computerised CBT.  At step 3 we offer individual and group CBT, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Couples Therapy for Depression, Counselling for Depression and EMDR.  The social interventions we offer include one-to-one Peer Support and Employment Support, and everyone accessing the service has the opportunity to attend any of our social events, and/or become involved as an Ambassador for the service to help promote the service and shape its development.

Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is expanding, and we are beginning to work with people living with Long Term Conditions (physical health problems). We will offer evidence based psychological treatments to help individuals to live well with their condition, and strengthen links with key physical health colleagues in our area.

We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney. We are a strongly clinically led service and the development of our staff is important to us. You will receive regular supervision as well as in service training and CPD days that ensure your continued learning and development. We are a research-friendly service currently involved in a number of projects focussing on improving outcomes for our service users, and ways of improving the support offered to therapists to improve therapeutic skills. We are also passionate about technology, utilising virtual reality and other innovations where these aid therapy and improve the experience for our service users.

Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney is an equal opportunities employer, and our workforce is currently under-represented from people from Black and Minority Ethnic and disabled communities. We would welcome applications from people from these communities as we want our workforce to reflect the communities we serve.

This is an exciting time to be joining Mind and becoming part of the partnership with the Norfolk & Suffolk Mental Health Foundation Trust delivering services within the provision of the Norfolk and Waveney Wellbeing Service.

The purpose of the role is to manage the strategic and operational planning and delivery of a programme of social interventions including peer support, employment support, and social activities, and ensure seamless integration between social and clinical interventions.

The successful candidate will champion the Mind ethos within the service, and act as the key link between the partner organisations. They will also actively monitor performance and quality and provide an oversight direction for the on-going evaluation and development of the social elements of the Wellbeing service in Norfolk and Waveney.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, be able to work autonomously and with a creative and collaborative approach and above all be able to inspire others.

A full driving license and access to own transport is essential for this role.

If you have a proven track record at a senior level, can demonstrate previous success in shaping and future proofing services we would love to hear from you.
