Apprentice Quality Control Inspector (Level 3)

The Apprentice Quality Control Inspector will report directly to the Quality Manager. Day to day contact with Quality Control team.
The main purpose of the role is to learn to inspect manufactured parts to ensure they are to the correct specification. The successful applicant will also learn to carry out first off audits, in process audits, last off audits whilst utilising and maintaining the library of samples and documents.
Other tasks include quality control stock takes, calibration checks on metrology, generation of production documentation all within the scope of the ISO9001 system of the company.
Hours of work - 40hrs per week, Monday- Friday 08.30-16.30. (Once experienced would work a 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating shift pattern).
Qualifications & Skills required - a minimum of GSCE or equivalent (A* to C) in Maths, English and a Science discipline. Must be computer literate and have good communication skills both verbally and written.
Training via West Suffolk College leading to an Engineering Technical Support - Advanced Apprenticeship
Engineering Technical Support Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma
Engineering Level 3 Diploma
Functional Skills English Level 2
Functional Skills Maths Level 2
Functional Skills ICT Level 2
over a 3-year period.
Opportunity to continue learning for up to 5 years to achieve Production Technician status.
