Apprentice Production Technician

To assist the Technical Director to provide the engineering and technical support required by the Operations, Quality and Technical departments to help ensure that operational and customer needs are effectively provided.
Hours of work - 40hrs per week, Monday- Friday 08.30-16.30. (Once experienced
The main purpose of the role is to start up and run production machines, including any trouble shooting and process improvement requirements.
This will include efficient and effective job change preparation, tool condition monitoring and maintenance, starting a machine from pre-defined parameters, carrying out quality checks including first off submission, maintaining active inter-departmental co-ordination, communication and co-operation.
will work a 6am - 2pm /2pm - 10pm rotating shift pattern).
Qualifications & Skills required - a minimum of GSCE (A* to C) in Maths, English and a Science discipline. Need to have good communication skills verbal and written
Training via West Suffolk College leading to a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering - Advanced Apprenticeship
Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma
Engineering Level 3 Diploma
Functional Skills English Level 2
Functional Skills Maths Level 2
Functional Skills ICT Level 2
achieved over a 3 year period with the opportunity to continue learning for up to 5 years to achieve Production Technician status.
