Apprentice Fitter (Mechanical Engineering) (Level 2 leading to Level 3)

As an Apprentice Fitter, you will become competent in the preparation and assembly of electric motors.
Duties will include:
Be able to work to a very high standard of quality
Work as part of an established assembly team
Work according to ATB Laurence Scotts specifications on tolerances and procedures
Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate(s)
Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.45am - 4.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break and Friday 7.45am - 12.15pm.
Qualifications & Skills required - GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English GCSEs. An interest in engineering and need to have good practical hand skills.
Training via City College Norwich leading to an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering Level 2, consisting of:
City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Engineering
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Functional Skills Mathematics
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Functional Skills English
Course duration: Approx. 4 years (as you will complete the Level 3 Apprenticeship after completing the Level 2 Apprenticeship)
