Apprentice Civil/Structural Engineer, Technician and Draughtsperson

The role will involve undertaking tasks in various different departments within Plandescil, from computer-aided design to field-based work. 
The role will be widely varied across a number of Plandescils departments, helping out where needed. The Apprentice will be spending time on the computer producing drawings as well as on site assisting with tasks such as Land Surveying. This will allow you to experience a variety of aspects of Plandescil and gain a wider understanding of how and why we undertake the work we do.
Note - will involve both long periods of working on a computer and days spent outside in all weathers.
Hours of work - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.15pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunch break (12.30pm - 1.15pm) 

Qualifications & Skills required - A C grades in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalents). Must have an interest in maths, computing, design and construction, the built environment and creativity

Training via City College Norwich leading to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering Level 3, built up of a framework consisting of:
Level 3 Diploma in Civil Engineering for Technicians (Institute of Civil Engineers)
Level 3 BTEC Level 3 Diploma Construction and the Built Environment - Civil Engineering
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Functional Skills Mathematics
City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Functional Skills English 
to be achieved over a 3-4 year period.
