My client: a large Public sector organisation based in Plymouth seeks a Procurement Services Manager to delivery a first class procurement service across the organisation

Your new role

Lead and manage the provision of a professional and client focused Procurement Services Function to support the Corporate Plan and strategic objectives. A Procurement Service capable of delivering goods, works and services for clients within value for money, social value whilst safeguarding compliance with all statutory, regulatory requirements, professional procurement standards.

Provide professional guidance and direction to Senior staff members and members on complex technical enquiries and legislative issues relating to procurement. Lead technical evaluation, contract development and procurement of major corporate contracts to ensure compliance and risk are balanced with delivery

• Responsible for the successful management and delivery of the organisations Procurement Service and Procurement Plan.
• To provide strategic direction, leadership and implementation of all systems and procedures to meet the Procurement & Contracts Regulation 2015
• Build and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and position the ProcurementServices function as a recognised value adding service

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience in a management level role across commercial and/or public sector field.
• Producing clear coherent plans and strategies to support the achievement of the Councils objectives.
• Successfully leading and managing complex procurement projects within a diverse commercial market.
• Leading, motivating and manage staff ensuring that they receive appropriate, training and development to support delivery, talent management and succession planning
• MCIPS or equivalent
