Stores Assistant

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Assistant within our Purchasing department at NBI Partnership.

Background:

The NBI Partnership (NBIP) provides non-scientific services to the John Innes Centre, Quadram Institute Bioscience, Earlham Institute and The Sainsbury Laboratory. All these organisations carry out scientific research funded by the UK Government, European Union, Charitable and Industrial Sponsors.

The role:

The Stores team is responsible for managing a stock holding of a selected range of consumable laboratory products, stationery, computer consumables and cleaning products. They are also the focal point for all deliveries to the Institutes and an interface for deliveries to the end user.

The role involves working as part of the Stores team to process receipts and stock requisitions, move goods around the site and process express parcels. The role will also involve driving the Stores van and forklift truck.

The ideal candidate:

Candidates should possess good communication skills and a customer focussed attitude. They should have good computer skills and English and Maths GCSEs grades A*-C or equivalent. The successful postholder will require a driving license and the role will involve moving large and heavy items. 

Additional information:

Salary on appointment will be within the range £16,835 to £17,860 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This is a fulltime post on a permanent basis.
