Education / Teaching Assistant

Grade: Scale 5 (Actual Salary: up to £20,795 pa)
Contract: 32.5 hours per week, Term-time only
Start Date: September 2019

The school wish to appoint a number of Education Assistants based in the following departments: Science, English, Maths, Performing Arts and Design Technology. You will assist the teacher in devising lesson plans and supporting SEN students in small groups and 1:1 session. In particular, this role would suit someone who would like experience within a school setting prior to considering teacher training. The school is keen to recruit staff who want to do the very best that they can to help make a difference to the learning of students.

The school are looking for someone who has:

a good quality degree or relevant experience
confidence, resilience with excellent communication and organisational skills
experience of working with secondary age children and young people
a professional, kind and calm manner
