There is now an opportunity for a Graduate Electronics Engineer / Graduate Production Engineer to join a successful manufacturing company based in north Kent. Salary is c£21,000 - £22,000 + pension + 25 days holiday. The organisation can offer the Graduate Electronics Engineer / Graduate Electronics Production Engineer good prospects for career development. The role is focused on production / manufacturing, rather than design.

Graduate Electronics Engineer - Job Function:

To assist in day to day plant operations, programming machines, validating programs and ensuring production is always supported. You will continually improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilising continuous improvement techniques, whilst maintaining a high level of quality.

Graduate Electronics Engineer - Duties Accountabilities:

* Assessing technologies and developing manufacturing plan.

* Follow the product life cycle, FMEA, specifications, process development and supporting NPI (new product introduction) builds.

* Establish, deliver, and maintain manufacturing processes for new products

* Analyse new equipment with the intent of achieving continuous improvement

* Develops process documentation and trains personnel on new and existing processes

* Develops and performs designed experiments (DOE) and capability studies, develops process specifications, and designs and procures process tooling.

* Supports production in high-level technical problems

* To analyse performance and liaise with Quality to investigate trends and recommend process improvements

* Daily problem solving of assembly processes using root cause analysis

* The creation & control of manufacturing documentation

Graduate Electronics Engineer - Skills and Experience Required:

* Degree qualified or equivalent in Electronics or a related subject is preferred

* Understanding of DFM (design for manufacture) processes.

* Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques.

* Able to read electrical drawings, assembly drawings and technical notes.

* Ability to read and thoroughly understand technical manuals and documents.

* Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP)

* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

* Have the ability to communicate both within the working group and the various levels of the organisation.

* Understanding of Project management

* Ability to prioritise multiple projects
