Graduate Learning Support Assistant - SEND - Bexley

Empowering learning are recruiting Graduates for our highly regarded Exploring SEND workshop on Wednesday 24th April 2017. If you are a graduate considering a future in teaching but don’t have any classroom-based experience, then our SEND workshop will give you the opportunity to start your career in Education as a Learning Support Assistant. Our SEND specialist will deliver an Introduction to working with children and young adults with special needs. You will be required to attend a 1-day workshop, which covers different areas of SEND such as working with pupils with PMLD, Autism and Down Syndrome. This workshop will also look into dealing with Challenging Behaviour and will help you better understand how to deal with this when working as a Learning Support Assistant. The 1-day Exploring SEND workshop will be FREE of charge.

Job Responsibilities

* Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties

* Ability to engage and support pupils

* Assist with personal care

* Supervising children behaviour

Job Requirements

* Happy to support children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities

* Available 4-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
