A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a specialist secondary school in Bexley, South East London. They focus on the social development and life skills of students who are currently not attending mainstream schools. Extra-curricular activities are a huge area in which the school look to grow the student's ability to interact in a positive way, both in and out of the classroom.

It is key that a positive environment is created with encouraging techniques. The students have come from backgrounds in which they have not been given the opportunity to fully discover their potential or been pushed to strive and have commonly been labelled as the 'naughty child'. This can be a very challenging time in the young person's life and can leave them unmotivated to improve.

The end goal for the school is to build the confidence, academic strength and social skills of each student and to eventually reintegrate back in to mainstream.

The successful candidate must have:

* The ability to build strong and lasting relationships.

* Experience working with and a keen understanding of SEMH (social, emotional and mental health).

* The ability and drive to lead sessions.

* A background in working with young people and secondary aged students

As part of REESON Education's vetting and compliance checks, you will be required to complete a new DBS disclosure, unless you hold a current one on the Update Service.

We look forward to hearing from you
