The Catering Assistants key responsibilities are:
• To cook food using the appliances and procedures stipulated.
• To ensure food preparation is carried out according to policy statements.
• To follow procedures regarding hygiene and cleaning.
• To display products in an attractive manner.
• To respond to customer requirement and deliver excellent customer service.
All Catering Assistants are expected to:
• Ensure tables are kept clear and respond quickly to ensure people do not have to sit at a dirty table.
• Be courteous and polite to customers and other members of staff.
• Refer any complaints to your manager.
• Prepare food in the correct manner using the manuals provided taking care with portion control.
• Take an active part in working as a team and helping others for the good of the store.
• Learn about and understand the products you sell and actively promote all products and promotional lines.
• Participate in all aspects of cleaning for efficient and hygienic running of the store.
• Follow the Rules of Hygiene and be aware of your personal safety and the safety of others.
• Always be of neat and tidy appearance and wear the full uniform provided along with black trouser or skirt.
In Addition:
All employees must be flexible and be prepared to assist others in doing alternative work at times, although this will always be avoided where possible.
