Seeking an Finance & Accounting Coordinator for a Global Shipping Liner. Located in Barking, Essex.

Are you fully AAT qualified?

Have you got at least 2 years experience in Bookkeeping and bank account reconciliation experience?

Do you have SAP knowledge?

What will be your main duties?

  • Day to day operations of bank accounts – daily reconciliation through Autokonto system, posting entries to SAP, processing & banking of cheques.
  • Employee expense claim forms checking, paying and posting of expenses, ensuring that receipts are attached and that VAT is correctly claimed back.
  • Responsible for the processing of overhead invoices using the OCR system for scanning, gaining the necessary approvals and posting these in the local ledger.
  • Dealing with vendor queries and ensuring prompt payment of invoices.
  • Petty cash - collection from bank, count and reconciliation on SAP
  • Duty and VAT statement reconciliation.
  • Analysis and posting of mobile phone costs.
  • Weekly - 13 week forecast of personnel related payments.
  • Ad-hoc work e.g. O.N.S. returns, assisting with auditor’s queries and general admin such as sending out P11d forms, filing and scanning.

What basic skills do you need?

  • Level 3/4, AAT qualified
  • Minimum 2 years previous accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and methodical approach.
  • Planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Advanced IT skill with Microsoft Office programs.

Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently within a small Accounting team.
