Areas of Responsibility:

* Maintain and improve equipment reliability through effective maintenance and equipment upgrades that increase the plant uptime.
* Carrying out work as designated / requested by the Engineering Manager, and others to ensure plant availability and performance.
* Carrying out work maintenance tasks as necessary, equipment inspections and overhauls and correct faults that limit equipment reliability
* Carrying out work equipment inspections, and overhauls, ability to diagnose faults ensuring correct or recommend actions are made to the mechanical and electrical systems that improve reliability.
* Compliance with safety, environmental, process, and product quality standards and procedures.
* Assist the Engineering and Facilities Manager with the improvement of the Planned Maintenance system, and review Maintenance Plans within the SAP PM system to optimize their effectiveness & work order loads
* Recommend and order spares and consumables as necessary.
* Be part of the 5S system and maintain working environment.
* To undertake any reasonable management request to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the department.
* Ensure Permit to Work system is applied when necessary or as requested by the Engineering Manager

Competencies:

* Be an active part of the maintenance team advising repairs and improvements where necessary
* Capable communicator able to effectively converse with internal personnel at all levels of the organisation.
* Awareness and compliance of safety and environmental legislation.
* Knowledge of the plant and production methods.
* Multiskilled abilities
* Have a relevant engineering qualification, & 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Computer literate and competent in using Microsoft Office Systems, and relevant PLC systems.
* Have a strong Mechanical / Electrical understanding of medium duty engineering and process plants.
* Proactive, Self-motivated, ability to manage and prioritise workload.

Additional Requirements and Commitments:

Your hours of work will be as directed the Engineering Manager, initially you will be part of a shift system working 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 8am-4pm,You will be required to cover other colleagues in the department when they are on holidays or sick. You may also be required to work a night shift which will be between 10pm-6am. You will be issued with a company phone. Overtime at weekends may be required. You will also be expected to work the hours necessary to complete any work that is necessary
