HR Manager Camplings Linen is a third-generation family owned business operating across East Anglia. We are now looking for an HR Manager on a full -time fixed term contract of 12mths to join our team to work across both parts of the business (Camplings Linen and Swiss Laundry). The HR Manager will be based in Great Yarmouth and Cambridge, with the need to oversee the migration of the business to Papworth. 

We believe 'It's the service that makes the difference' and were looking for an HR Manager who can provide a first class, commercial HR service, ensuring best practice and legal compliance with all HR related issues.  Youll be required to support the senior management team in delivering the company strategy by developing and administering HR plans and procedures that relate to company personnel.

As an HR Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining an effective HR function, to provide guidance and support to the management team on all employment legislation related issues and queries.
  • To work closely with and support all managers to ensure all people related objectives are achieved in line with the business plan and HR strategy.
  • Ensure the management team are fully supported with all recruitment, induction and performance management processes to maintain successful attraction and retention of employees.  Carry out regular coaching of the management team to ensure their understanding.
  • Manage advice on employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.
  • Reduce any risk to the organisation by regularly auditing and reviewing management practice and take corrective action where required. 
  • Maintain all records and files in accordance with legislative guidelines.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation
  • Collate data on key HR metrics and develop and implement action plans so that organisational performance can be improved.
  • Support the alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
  • Support change management processes.
  • To carry out all aspects of the role effectively and ensure all work carried out is of the highest standard and within required timescales.
  • Contribute to regular communication and feedback sessions with the Executive.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum bachelors degree in a related discipline and 5+ years in a solus Human Resource role.
  • Experience of change management processes, including managing consultation and contractual change.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice HR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of HR Systems and Packages.

This is a full-time 12-month fixed term position offering a competitive salary up to £35,000pa (depending on experience).
