Management Accountant Dura Composites are currently recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant, who is highly motivated and great role model for the Team. The successful Management Accountant will join their highly successful company based in Clacton on Sea, Essex.

Dura Composites are a leading global supplier of composite products for flooring, structures and façades, ideal for industrial, rail, marine, landscaping and architectural applications, many of which are hugely eco-friendly. Incorporated in 1996, we have since supplied a wide range of blue chip organisations with products from the standard range and also with bespoke project solution.

We are looking for a Management Accountant who would be responsible for managing, recording, reporting and interpreting financial and other business data in timely fashion to allow fast and accurate decision making to deliver optimum profitability and positive cash-flow.

You will be responsible for leading the Finance Team comprising and Assistant Accountant and Credit Controller and overseeing the day to day activities of the Department ensuring that Financial and Management Information is available for the group of companies employing around 75 staff.

You will liaise with other departments to ensure well-oiled information flow that allows great decision making, particularly Purchasing. 

As Management Accountant other duties include:

  • Management Accounts, Management Information and KPIs
  • Manage Fixed Assets & depreciation.
  • Main point of contact and manage relationship with Bank and Auditors
  • Weekly 12-week Cash-Flow forecast
  • Annual Budgeting with Monthly Forecasting Update.
  • Calculate and administer monthly commission schedules
  • Maintain and reconcile the Confidential Invoice Facility that is in place
  • Oversee Credit Control function
  • Grant and Cash Management and treasury duties
  • Monthly & Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Various ONS, EC Sales returns
  • Maintaining and improvement of Business Processes and Systems, ensuring appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented/maintained

The ideal candidate will possess the following personal attributes:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified in ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills and Professionalism.
  • Great Judgement and Work Ethic, Proactive and positive approach to all tasks
  • Excellent IT including working knowledge of Sage 200 and Sage Line 50 and Excel

An excellent salary is on offer of £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience.   Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 5.0pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch break).  Holiday are 20 days per annum plus 8 bank Holidays (5 days must be taken at Christmas) with an option to purchase 5 additional days.  Great benefits are on offer including: Quarterly Appraisals / Training Support Offered, Auto Enrolment Pension scheme provided by Peoples Pension, Retail Discount Scheme, Cycle to Work, Child Care Vouchers and many more
