We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as a science technician at the Thetford Academy.
As well as providing general laboratory support to the science department, you will assist in practical science lessons and must therefore be able to relate well to both staff and students. The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative as well as be a team player. The ideal candidate will be well-organised with the ability to work independently, taking responsibility for managing routine safety and maintenance checks. The role involves working with a wide range of equipment, materials, and resources.
Relevant experience within a secondary school setting is desirable but this is not essential, as appropriate training will be provided.
If you are enthusiastic about science and enjoy inspiring others, this is a wonderful opportunity to utilise your training/experience and develop skills within a friendly team.
If you think that you have the skills and attributes for this exciting role we would be pleased to hear from you.
There is the potential for a revision to the package offered for an exceptional candidate.
We are committed to offering excellent professional opportunities and learning opportunities for our staff, through careful support and personalised CPD. We offer a structured and specific induction programme that has been praised by staff for its support and expertise.
