We are currently recruiting for a Head of UK Sales, also known as a Commercial Manager as we call it, to join our successful and expanding team. The role will be based in Letchworth Garden City. As a senior member of the Global sales team reporting to the Commercial and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership to the relevant sales teams (external and internal) Key responsibilities: - Develop and drive the appropriate business plan for the UK and other designated markets in line with the overall Company vision - Develop and achieve the appropriate sales, profit and product mix targets in order to contribute to the profitable growth of the designated region - Provide the appropriate and effective leadership, coaching and support to the relevant teams ensuring that: The company sales and profit are maximised The appropriate sales plans, processes, resources and performance measures are developed and maintained in support of the strategic plan - Responsible for the customer strategy in the designated markets including the appropriate mix of customer type and the key account strategy within each customer type - Leadership of the Global Customer Care Centre (CCC), working together with the CCC Managers to optimise the overall customer experience across the relevant functions - Ensure that regular staff appraisal and feedback are carried out with all the relevant teams - Work together with the Marketing function to develop appropriate sector, product customer research and data - Act as a role model to the Company Core Values by demonstrating flexibility, open communication, respect for others, continuous improvement and excellent customer experience To be successful you will need to have the following experience: - Extensive sales management experience including the leadership of sales teams and distributors. Experience of managing managers is essential. - Extensive experience in specification sales and key account management - Relevant international sales experience - Sound knowledge and experience of operational P/L accountability If you have the relevant experience and you would describe yourself as a self- motivated, positive team player, then we would love to hear from you
