I have a superb opportunity for a staff nurse RMN RGN to work within a specialist Drug & Alcohol detox centre based in Islington, London.

About the role:

* In conjunction with the care team, ensure that services provided are of a high quality, directly respond to client needs and meet the requirements of the organisation’s investors.

* Record and document data which will contribute towards individual client’s service reviews.

Effectively plan care at pre-admission, admission and discharge and collaborate with other professionals in this process.

* Undertake that all administration and data collection is maintained to agreed local and national standards.

* Provide the health education and/or health promotion service to clients.

* Provide support, information and education to clients on a one-to-one basis and in groups.

* Participate in the provision of a 24 hour telephone referral, advice and information service.

Requirements:

* The post holder’s will ensure a high standard of care and effective communications within internal teams, external agencies and community based treatment services.

* The successful candidate will ideally be qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and hold a valid NMC pin.

* Previous experience working with Blood Borne Virus’ (BBV) and substance misuse users would be beneficial.

* From the outset, you will be responsible for a caseload of clients with a range of issues; these could include Hepatitis and HIV.

* This role will offer you a variety of different duties on a daily basis including clinical interventions around detoxification and/or stabilisation, providing support and advice through one to one sessions and substitute prescribing for a medical focused recovery.

* In addition, you will be required to provide harm reduction advice and to deliver individual care plans to assist with positive recovery.

Salary:

£28,202 – £32,600 working full time 36 hours per week, plus substantial benefits.

**The service is a 24 hour service with waking night cover so you would be on a rota and night shifts will apply
