We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to join our clients residential home team in Campsea Ashe (Woodbridge), who is keen to develop a career within the care sector!

 

This role will involve ensuring that residents needs are met and catered to at all times as well as assisting the Senior Care Team with the smooth running of the home.

 

This is a full time role working 28 hours per week, DAY or NIGHT shifts, at a rate up to £10.00 per hour (subject to experience).

 

You will have responsibility for a shift, ensuring the effective deployment of staff by planning and organising staff and arranging cover as necessary.

 

Other key responsibilities will include:

 

Delivering excellent care to residents at all times.

Undertake any other duties as required ensuring the effective, safe and smooth running of the home as requested by the Home Manager and in their absence as requested by the Deputy Manager.

Ensure that the home offers a warm, caring, stimulating and homely environment to all its clients which recognises their collective and individual needs and aspirations.

Actively demonstrate high standards of care practice to the team and ensure these standards are attained and maintained at all times.

Ensure that individual care plans are formulated, executed and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure residents receive the best care appropriate to their needs.

Order, store and prepare and/or administer medication for residents and maintain records.

 

 

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 
  • Experience of supervising a care team, with NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. 
  • Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience of the needs of the residents. 
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
