We are currently seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our clients specialist Nurse-led Learning Disability service in Browston (Great Yarmouth). 

Experience of working with behavior that may challenge the service, as well as working with people with a learning disability and complex needs such as Autism and Epilepsy would be an advantage, but the right values and personality is more important and full training will be given.


The role will include providing specialist and quality bespoke support for people with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities and complex support needs such as Autism, Epilepsy, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and those with behaviours that may challenge the service. The ability to work using own initiative as well as working as part of a team is essential.


The position is full time, 36 hours per week (DAY or NIGHT shifts), at a pay rate up to £8.75 (based on experience)


Typical duties may include:
Support and encourage with improving their independence
Support with re-ablement and moving and handling
 Prompt and assistance with medication administration
 Assistance with personal care, dressing and toileting
 Support with domestic duties and meal preparation.

 

 

Requirements for this position:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
